It all started back on February 22, 1998 when Coghlan, Sellers Consulting was first incorporated. At that time we were providing "Business Saavy Consultants for your Information Technology Needs". We targeted the larger corporations and helped organizations with their strategic planning and helped them determine which technology solutions could help improve productivity and decrease costs.

In the spring of 2000 we realized that the name and brand of our business was confusing. People often asked what's a coghlan and how do you sell it? We decided that we needed a new name and a new brand. So in September of 2000 we launched our new name "Catwalk Consulting". The website was revamped and our brilliant graphic designer and marketing person came up with the now famous Catwalk Consulting business card.

During that time we also talked about diversifying. We liked working in the big corporations but things changed dramatically in 2001. We began talking about targeting small and midsize companies. What could we offer? It was during this time that we began investigating a partnership with IBM. Catwalk Consulting officially became an IBM business partner in 2002. In 2003 we launched www.catwalkconference.com a secure hosted web conferencing solution powered by IBM Lotus Sametime that allows companies to hold meetings online.

We discovered that many small and midsize companies really needed help in figuring out what they needed to increase productivity and decrease costs. We started to offer eCommerce, CRM and Collaboration type solutions to help. It's all about the process. Catwalk will take a look a company's business processes and then figure out what technology will help to make that process work more efficiently and at a lower cost. It's also about accessing the right information in a timely manner. Companies need to be able to provide information to their customers and vendors so that important decisions can be made. Today if you don't provide information quickly and easily you could lose the business to your competitors.

They say it takes a village and even in business it takes a village. I am amazed at the talented committed people I have met over the years. My involvement in organizations such as the Women s President's Organization (WPO) and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) have really helped me to learn and develop my entrepreneurial skills. The people I have met through these organizations have helped me to grow and develop. They have challenged me and helped me to achieve things I never believed were possible. I feel honored to be surrounded by people who want to help me to succeed. I thank you all.
