For over 18 years, Angelika Coghlan has been providing the link between business needs and technological realities for a wide variety of companies. As President and managing partner of Catwalk Consulting the providers of www.CatwalkConference.com, Angelika leverages a broad skill set of technical expertise with a business savvy able to translate complex business needs into systems solutions that work.

Whether her clients are banks or insurance companies, hospitals or advertising agencies, manufacturers or reporting companies or telecommunications providers, Angelika demonstrates that unique blend of technical know-how with business brains.

Strengths

“I love the initial ideation sessions with our clients,” Angelika says.  “That rapid succession of ideas flowing back and forth to solve a business puzzle.  You can see the whole team’s excitement rise at the possibilities!”  Angelika does not take a one-software/hardware package fits all approach to her project engagements.  “The fun is in coming up with the right solution for each client and each business need.”  Skilled at finding the gaps in processes, Angelika brings the team a superior knack for project management to any formidable business dilemma.

The Bigger Picture

A wife and mother of three, Angelika believes part of growing an expertise and building a business is helping others.  Enterprising Women Magazine, a national magazine for women entrepreneurs, presented Angelika with the 2003 Enterprising Women of the Year Award for heading-up a growing technology-consulting firm and for an active contribution to many businesses and youth organizations.  She is committed to helping all business owners make the most of technology as a tool to support their business goals.   “Technology should help businesses run better,” she says, “not perplex and thwart efforts to serve clients.  I meet business owners who feel beaten by their systems.  It shouldn’t have to be that way.”

She believes in giving back to the community and serves on the board of directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Chicago Chapter and is part of Chicago NAWBO’s Political Action Committee. She also is an active member of Women’s President Organization of Chicago, OMNI Youth Services Board of Ambassadors, the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and is on the board of directors for OMNI Youth Services. She also sits on the advisory board for the Women’s Leadership Exchange in Chicago. Angelika holds a BS degree in Computer Science – Information Systems from DePaul University.
