  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5, 6.0 - Sametime clients can operate in a Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6.0 browser running its native Virtual Machine (VM) or the Sun Microsystems Java VM 1.4.1 or higher (and the 1.4.1 or higher Java Plug-in).
  • Netscape 7 - Sametime clients can operate in a Netscape 7 browser that uses the Sun Microsystems Java VM 1.4.1 or higher and Java Plug-in 1.4.1 or higher.
  • Mozilla 1.4.1 - Sametime clients can operate in a Mozilla browser that uses the Sun Microsystems Java VM 1.4.1 or higher and Java Plug-in 1.4.1 or higher.
  • Although not officially supported, Lotus Web Conferencing also works with Windows 95/98 and MacIntosh with the 10.x.x operating system with Internet Explorer.

    In a corporate setting, if you do not have administrator rights on your PC you will need to contact your network administrator. You will need administrator rights the first time you use the product. Applets will be downloaded to you PC the first time you access a meeting. Once this is done you will not need administrator rights to access a meeting. This download process takes approximately 2-5 minutes.
